❥ Personality: Before she died
, Tori was a shallow
girl; she's an intelligent
person and was considerably good-looking back in England. Everyone imposed her with standards because of how she looked;
because of this, she started to do her best keeping up with these standards. Which means, she started to show a fake smile to everyone. She started to become "friends" with everyone, and had to be the person who knew the dirt on everyone and be flirtatious--even though she has zero romantic or intimate feelings
to anyone. Tori started to become distrustful
, and superficial
because of a certain incident that happened during school. (More about this in Biography) After death
, she became sensible
, more mature
and a deep thinker
(Because hey! Eternity is enough time to think for everything.) But, her deep-rooted distrust of people and realistic
personality will always make her narrow-minded
and unforgiving sometimes.
If you become her friend, she's very social
and love to talk about anything and everything and be a bit dramatic
"I never felt so calm before. It was never so relaxing when I was alive. I never felt so peaceful being alone."
❥ Biography: Early Childhood:
"Maman! Maman! Can we go to the bird house?"
"Of course. Let's go!"
Tori, as a young girl was had her mother and father by her side when she was still in England
. Where they lived, there was a small green-house-like building on their property and her mother and her visit it often because dozens of birds freely fly in and out of the house on the daily of all sorts of colors. Her father was not often home, but he greatly expressed his love to them by sending then paper cranes and bird candies to them when he was gone for any amount of time. At the age of 14, her mother and father discussed to her if she wanted to live in Japan only for a few years, telling her it wouldn't be permanent because they had to move over there for her father's job. At first, hesitant, but later she agreed because she wanted to enjoy the eastern culture over there.Japan Life:
"Tori! There you are! Are we still going over to my house?"
"Yeah we are! I'm bringing over games!"
Before she entered schooling in Japan, she took a year off to learn Japanese and the culture. At the age of 15, she entered the 3rd Year of Middle School. When she entered, she was ultimately rather popular for her being a foreigner and the fact she was figuratively and shapely tall. Although popular, she only had a handful of few friends and fewer admirers. Tori has a best friend whom was also very popular; they were inseparable, they did everything with each other. The year passed without a hitch, but the problem started when they both hit high school. At this point she's now 16 years old, and Tori and her best friend are luckily in the same homeroom this year. But, it was obvious that all of their classmates and those from other classes started to block her from her best friend, this is when they started to imposed their selfish standards on them. "I bet you're so smart, Tori-san!"
"Wow! You must have gotten so many love letters in Middle School, haven't you!"
"Can I please be your friend? You're so pretty!"
Now Tori has dozens of friends, and as many admirers. Her friend felt threatened that she was leaving her, but Tori refuted and spent every free moment she had with her best friend from then on. They thought if they stayed like this, everything would be alright. But things got worst when they got into their 2nd year. She's now 17 in that year, and she and her best friend where in different homerooms. Those shallow standards still follow her around, slowly becoming heavier and heavier burdens. But life never really works out, she started hearing horrid rumors about her best friend. Tori was greatly worried about this and came to her best friend's defense."Don't you dare talk bad about her!"
"You don't know her!"
"Don't you have better things to do? Leave her alone!"
After a few months left into school, the rumors have died down. Unfortunately, her best friend exceedingly became more and more depressed and Tori did her best to cheer her up, she asked for advice from her parents and they tried to help her best friend as well. But thing got really out of hand when people started to make rumors about her, that she was friends with "that girl", her best friend. She didn't deny it, and stood up and defended her friend. But that was the last straw for her best friend, she started to plan her suicide. "Don't you sometimes feel that you're locked in a cage from all the pressure people are pushing on you? It's so unfair."
"You know what Tori? That's how I exactly feel."
"Let's make sure those standards won't change us. Promise me you won't let them control you."
"... Yeah. I'll never let them control me, I'll never let them cage me like a bird no longer..."
On the 7th day of summer. Tori was getting extremely scared for her best friend. She tried calling her for days, e-mail, letters, going to her house, and even asking her parents where she was. Her parents where devastated. They said that her best friend said she was staying the week over at Tori's home. She became almost hysterical and ran out to go search for her friend while her family contacted the police and their friends and Tori's family. Tori later found her that day, standing on top of a large tree a little ways back behind the park. She had a noose around her neck and she stood on the edge of the branch."NO! DON'T DO IT!"
Tori screamed at her and she ran up to the tree to catch her. But she was too slow, she jumped and the crack of her neck sounded through the air. Tori screamed and sobbed for a long time. Her heart beat was beating erratically, her breath short, she felt like she forgotten how to breath and scratched at her throat and her chest burned. Her head felt like lead and her heart squeezed her chest. For minutes she couldn't move and gasped for air, the beating in her chest started to die down. She was having a heart attack. Tori tried to call her family, the phone was on speaker. But it was too late, her vision blurred and her eyes closed.
The last thing she heard was her parents.
"Hello? Victoria? Do you hear me?"
"Tori-bear, answer your mother."
"Hello? Are you alright?"
"I don't want to die-- I wanted to be free." she whispered to herself.
Tori died from a single heart attack while crying over her best friend. She died from shock. What the heck.
"Could I make friends again?"
Meeting the Gang:"Wait? What am I joining!?!"
After she died, she woke up in her current body. At first she was deathly afraid, but she was later over joyed because there was no pressure or burden on her, she could literally do anything she wanted and nothing could tarnish that. One day she got onto a phone where the owner was a red-eye ability user, by chance. Before she could escape, this person explain who they where and what Tori was. She decided to join (more like forced) the Mekakushi Dan. And her new life starts.
